Winter Accoutrements

Each day he takes me to the woods, to run through birch and boreal.
When snow’s so deep we cannot step, I burrow a frozen canal.
The goggles help protect my eyes from freezing stiff to lid and lash.
The hanky serves no use at all until he wipes down his moustache.

Note: as seen on the Belz Alaskana 2017 Christmas Card
